Thread: Do braces hurt? Because i am really scared to get them.?

i am going to be getting braces really really soon and i am so nervous and scared.I just really need to know i they hurt or not?

Firstly im 14 and had mine taken off about 2 years ago and had them for about 2 years( you will need to use a special kind of toothbrush, you will need a normal 1 and a special kind of 1.

Secondly when you first have them it will take about a week to get used to so you will need to eat sort foods and it may hurt a little but after that everything will go back ot normal.
Thirdly when you go back to have them changed it may hurt just for a few hours.. not long though.. but when the dentist is changing them it don't really hurt and also you get to pick the colours.

Lastly when you have them taken off it hurts a little when the dentist pulls but other than that its okay
