I used to get serious migraines, the type that typically demand darkness and rest. It was extremely painful to do much of anything with them. However, I may soon be enlisting in the military. I disclosed my past migraines, and still cleared the medical exam since they have been gone for long enough not to be an issue. However, I'm still nervous that they may return during basic training. Since I have never gotten them frequently, at worst I couldn't see getting more than one. So, if I have the will power, I may try to simply push through the migraine. It would be hell, but given the importance of not being discharged, it would probably be the best option. My question is: would performing strenous activity (ie running, pushups, other military excercizes) be actually dangerous to my health? Or is the pain itself the only real obstacle?
