    Could Lactose intolerence cause coughing and a Pylem build up?

    My stepdad gets to coughing and a buildup of pylem during sleep he has to spit this out 10 12 times a night .I there a possiblity this could be caused by L I?

    Yes, it might be. Dairy is really bad for sinus problems and allergies. It causes mucus to build up. Since I cut dairy out of my diet completely, my allergies are a thousand times better. I use to get chronic sinus infections and it was awful. I would NEVER go back to dairy now that I know how good I feel without it. Your stepdad should try cutting back or just eliminating dairy from his diet for awhile and see how it goes.
