I have a bump on the outer side of my baby toe. Unfortunately, I bought a pair of shoes that were not comfortable. I was stuck wearing them for several hours before I was able to get them off. They sort of scrunched my toes together, in particular my baby toe. When I was painting my toe nails, I noticed a large bump on the side of the toe. it really isn't painful to the touch, but I am not sure what it is. It feels hard, but I don't think it is a bunion (bone?). It doesn't look rough like a callus might - I sometimes get those on the bottom of my feet. It is more flech colored with a bit of redness/pink around it. Could it be a corn? What are corns? How should this be treated and is it permanent?
