Thread: Can I still go see my pediatrician?

I'm 19 years old, soon to be 20, and I never found a physician for adults (since i dont go to hospitals anyways), but now I think I have ADD (have been considering this possibility for a few years now and want to go check it out). Can I go see my pediatrician? Would she be able to prescribe drugs for me?

Make an appointment with her. She'll probably end up referring you to a different doctor. Yes, she can prescribe for you but will probably still refer you to someone else.

Sure. Our pediatrician saw our kids until they were in their late teens so I would bet that yours would too - and yes, they can prescribe medications for you.

You need to find a Doctor for adults. I do not think that you can go to Peditrician.

You need to see a neurologist not a general practitioner - regardless of if it is a pediatrician or not.
