Now here is the dilemma, it only happens when I am on the treadmill or running outside. I could use any other cardio machine (eliptical, stair master, bike, climb master) and get my heart rate up high for long periods at a time without my calves even hurting at all. However when I am on the treadmill my heart rate doesn't even get to the point it does on the other machines and my calves cramp and ache very bad.
I mention my heart rate only because I used to think it was a lack of oxygen or when I was training for a run, they said it was because I needed more salt. However the fact that on any other machine with my heart rate even higher than when I am on the treadmill for longer periods without my calves even coming close to feeling the way they do when I run or am on the treadmill pretty much rules out the two causes I assumed previously.
I would love to be able to go running, without my calves cramping up minutes into the run.
Does anyone have any idea what the cause could be and what I would need to do to get remedy it?
