Thread: Bottom retainer has cut my gum?

Just got used to wearing my retainers, but my bottom one has cut the right side of my gum behind my bottom teeth near the bottom of my mouth. Wondering if this is normal or if I should head to the orthodontist to make sure it is fitting correctly.

I have a retainer right now and I suggest you just let it heal for now. If you HAVE to, leave it out for a night. If it really becomes a problem, I suggest going to see your orthodontist.

in the meantime wash with some peroxyl (anitseptic mouth wash) and apply some orabase
