I sprained my ankle two weeks ago monday when turning it on a curb crossing the street. I almost passed out from the pain.
Well within 4 days I seemed that i was walking fine again. Then three days ago I ended up hurting it again walking up the stairs. The pain would shoot from the inner part of my ankle and up my leg.
I have been keeping a brace on it. And the pain would come and go. Sometimes I could walk (kind of limp) for hours and I would be fine, then other times I'd just walk a few feet and I would get the shooting pain again.
The pain has pretty much gone now - I'm still limping (even when I try not to). But I've noticed that the bottom of my foot really aches and swells up.
No bruising during original injury.
I tore ligaments about 15 years ago in same ankle - and they turn on me without any warning. I've been to a few doctors and they all pretty much push me away saying to ice and wrap it.
What do you suggest? Do you have this problem? What do you do?
