I have been thinking about competing for a while now. I have decided that I want to compete one year from now. I really don't know much. I am a trainer, but i lack nutrition knowledge. I need to know ANY advice from people who have competed before.

It will most likely be figure to start out with, and then advance to fitness comps.

When should I start training?
When should I start really focusing on diet?

Where can I find a schedule of competitions for 2009 in the USA?
