HD DVD vs Blu ray..still a contest?

Are HD DVD's truely discontinued? Will I not be able to buy them soon or is this wrong and HD are still hanging around....I keep hearing differing opinions.....please I need facts, not opinions on which one you prefer personally, I knew Blu Ray was the hot commodity even when I bought a bargain HD player today so are HD DVD's still being manufactured?

bluray is the standard for hi-def..

Not being manufactured, but you can buy people that switched to BluRays movies on eBay for a little more than what a BluRay Disc will cost.
