If your dvd player uses a HD cable can you play HD DVD's?
I have a dvd player with a HDMI cable so can I play HD DVD's?

It's probably an up-converting dvd player. If it doesn't say HD DVD on the front, then it's not.

Not always, some dvd players have the hook ups just in case your TV doesn't have any available jacks. Some times DVD player manufactures put HD DVD on the front of the player. You may also check on the manufactures web sight. But if all else fails just buy a HD DVD and see if it works.
