Hunting with a Muzzleloader in the rain/snow...?

I just bought a TC Encore Pro Hunter. I hunt in Indiana every year, and of course it rains and snows there. I was just wondering what is the best thing to do to protect you powder from getting wet or damp? Thanks!
This is for my husband not me

I do hope you are only using ONE projectile at a time, and not littering the countryside with ballbearings or scrap metal.Fragging our limited wildlife is not a sport to me ,it is a moral crime against every religious teaching in existence,You only kill to eat,if you have to,to say shooting defenceless animals, who cannot shoot back, is a sport is a crime against reason, even the ancient pagan tribes only killed enough to eat and survive.I have shot and killed human beings without a second thought because it was them or me,but i could not take an innocent life for nothing more than pleasure.

Load at home. Here in PA a muzzleloader isn't considered "loaded" until the frizzen pan is primed or a cap is put in the lock. If you are using a percussion cap, there shouldn't be much issue with rain. The Encore is a percussion cap firearm.

As for reloading or loading in the field, get some speed loaders. You pre-measure the powder at home, and just keep enough in one speed loader for one shot. They are water/weather proof. Some even have a spot for the cap, most have a spot for the bullet.

There are a lot of high-tech Muzzleloader stuff on the market I'm not too familiar with. In PA we have pretty restrictive Muzzleloading regulations, at least during "Muzzleloader" season.
