Thread: how to get my cat to prefer being indoors than outdoors?

ok, so heres the deal, My parents have lost many cats to a road near our house and now I have a new cat, and she loves being outdoors, we shut the kitchen doors at night so they cant go out then but what about at the daytime? and my dad wont let me keep her in when she wants tto go out! help! what do i do?!?!

You should get her some toys to play with inside, give her canned food inside, and/or give her treats when she is inside.

I would suggest neutering That makes cats much calmer and they prefer to stay close to home. My friend, who lives right next to a road, got both of her cats done and they love being inside
