Boating in London Canals / Houseboat / Narrow Boat / Canal Boat - WIDTH RESTRICTIONS?

Hi all,
Have been thinking about getting a boat for quite a while and have my eye on a 9' wide beauty. Just a question: is there any problem taking a boat 9' wide on the london canals? Anywhere that I might have problems getting through? Thanks in advance :-D
