Rumour about me going around in school?

I don't know how it started, but I have a close relationship with this guy who goes to my high school, but he's 21 because he came from another country and needs to get his credits here in canada. There's a lot of sexual tension between us, but we keep it very private and secret. well at least i do. Some how people found out and now they're calling him a tool, because im 16 and he's 21, even though the age of consent in canada is 16 (not that im planning on having sex with him). But my whole school knows about us, and thinks were having sex! I don't know how to deal with it, what do i do?
this is MY business and not theirs, i've never had a rumour going on about me, im usually the shy quiet girl that no one really knows about.
i dont care what you have to say if i should or shouldn't be dating a 21 year old. in my mind i dont think age is an issue and its nobody's business what i do with my private life.

in my old school i got into an incident which ruined my whole rep throughout the time i was in it.. i used to go to a school called job corps, but my first week there i got drunk and did stupid shit and when i came back everyone just stopped and stared at me, it hurt so much because i knew what they were thinking.. look at this girl 16 years old getting drunk doing the nasty with guys she just met.. it was a mistake i made and trust me i never repeated that mistake EVER, and ever since that incident happened i was known as a slut and a jump off, none of the girls at school liked me, every girl wanted to fight me, (bitches aint about the sauce) i couldnt talk to a guy for 2 secs without someone noticing and guess what the next thing you would hear is that i fucked the guy.. JUST BECAUSE I TALKED TO A GUY THEY ASSUMED I WAS MESSING AROUND WITH HIM, SINCE WHEN DID THAT BECOME A BAD THING?

and the funny thing was, everytime a guy or a girl would talk to me (a lot of guys wanted to help me and look out for me since that incident) people would come up to them and ask them why they are talking to me..

i had had every rumor said about me, everything from being a slut to doing coke..

people just find an easy target to get something to talk about, i too was shy and quiet, the one who wouldnt say something to you unless you said something to me first, during that whole BS i learned to stick to myself and put myself first before anyone because at the end of the day you dont owe no one shit.. if you know what you did and what you didnt do that rumor shouldnt bother you because people will start thinking its true if they see you get mad.. i just laughed at the rumors and told people you actually believe that garbage?

what do people care if you had sex with the guy or not it doesnt make you a lesser person if you did and people need to take your name out their mouths cause thats between you and him

and btw make sure its not the guy telling your buissnes around.. thats usually the case of how people start finding out, a guy brags that he just hit that, becareful

if you love him and he loves you that is all that matters and they are jealous that you have this older more mature guy.

dont worry about what other people say or think as long as u no the truth thats all that matters and if ur parents trust u there shoulnt b a promblem age does not matter if u really like someone as long as that person likes u as much i no im a mother of 5 and grandmother of 8
