Oops! We currently do not support the mobile number you entered.?

I tried to send a text to a number i have never sent a txt 2 b4. I typed in the number and hit enter, and a small window popped up and it said "Oops! We currently do not support the mobile number you entered". Why is it doing that? I've sent texts to many mobile numbers and that's never come up b4. How do I fix that? Plz help.
