I suppose this question goes out to anyone over say 28 or so. Sometimes I look back and think wow me and my friends back in the day would have been able to find each other at all times. So much more info on the latest this and that. Yet at the same time we did have our privacy. So would you trade that for the cell phone internet time.

Nope, I loved how it was when I was younger, (i'm 25 btw) I hate how it is now ~ I think that it is ridiculous how things are now. There is nothing left to the imagination anymore. My 6 year old daughter asked me the other day if she could have a cell phone and it amazed me. There is no way in hell I would by my six year old a cell phone!

well i guess my mom would say yes, b/c she's always like i didn't have this and that. and it really annoys me, i mean i can't help it technology has advanced. she always saids i have it easy; but they didn't have high gas prices when she was my age and she only had to graduate high school with 14 credits! can you believe taht?! i have to graduate with 24!

Personally, I don't envy it. I like that my kids have the internet at the tips of their fingers for research, information, news, weather, school ratings, product and book ratings etc. Sure, there are downfalls but there are downfalls with everything.
I love that i can contact my child in a whim, and in middle school if they are being picked on, bullied, got sick- they don't have to wait in a line in the office to call home- they can call me between classes, right then, and i'm there.
I want better for my kids than i had growing up. I love new technology (bank cards, cells, internet, movies online, gps etc). It's exciting to me to watch our world learn and grow and advance.
