The answer is yes and no. It's not safe to buy refurbished electronics on E-bay, because you do not know if they are truly refurbished. However, it is generally safe to buy refurbished electronics from trusted retailers, including Best Buy. Make sure that there is a warranty offered in case anything goes wrong with the device. For the particular device that you are looking at, the warranty is one year, so it's definitely worth a purchase. Unfortunately, that web site is sold out of the item that you linked to.
