How to fix Windows 7 blank gadget issue?

I own an Acer Aspire 5517 with Windows 7, and I had a virus, deleted it with Malware Bytes anti-virus, and now my gadgets do not work! I included a picture of what the gadgets do:

They stay like this. I have already tried restoring the computer, entering command prompts related to the gadgets, etc.

    Any input would be great!

There will be variety of options to choose from. Click on the first " FIX YOUR COMPUTER" after clicking that it will start to load up and will acquire to put your password in and after doing that there will be options, "click SYSTEM RESTORE".. This will start restarting your computer to an earlier condition...........i hope this helped...and im sorry i could not help you how to fix them gadgets because i haven't come across with an situation like that before...

Found this on another forum. It worked for me. Worth a try as long as you aren't afraid of using regedit.

Stop sidebar.exe and use regedit to delete the following key. You must have administrator privileges.

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\

    Restart sidebar.exe

    Good luck.
