Not getting enough sports nutrition?

I started a running and vigorious work-out program but needs a long time to recover. Recently I even experienced episodes of dizziness and I noticed that I've unintentionally lost some weight. I've been lean so I don't want to lose weight by exercise. How can I supplement my diet, which is usually healthy but doesn't include enough protein and starchy food? I started Boost High Protein drink but not sure if it's good for me, given the fact that I have to control sugar intake to prevent diabetes.
