    Just a fitness question on when to work out?

    Ok so I workout my abs and legs one day and then my chest, arms, shoulders and back the other.
    At the moment I do
    M-abs
    T-chest
    W-break
    T-abs
    F-Chest
    S-abs
    S-Chest


    Is this a good number of days to workout or would you suggest something else.

    You can do abs much more often than your other muscle groups. I would group a couple of them together and do them each 2 or 3 times a week and do abs every time you work out. For example, chest back and abs, then legs and abs, then arms and shoulders and abs. Then start over the process. That's basically what i do anyway. Be sure to keep up your cardio too though. Good luck and keep up the hard work!

    Abs are an endurance muscle meaning you can work them out every day.

    I would suggest:
    M- Chest and back
    T- Cardio of some sort (Running, biking, etc.)
    W- Shoulders and arms
    T- Rest, or pilates/yoga or something.
    F- Legs, like weights.
    S- Cardio

    Abs can be worked out everyday, or if you would rather. Just every second day.

    I used p90x for a guideline, they do each muscle only once a week since that is how long the average person takes to recover.
