Limewire doesn't work on my computer. When I launch it, it starts up, then goes into the program. The window stays open for about 10 seconds then closes. When I run my cursor over the limewire icon in the taskbar, it disappears. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times, even uninstalled Java and reinstalled it and nothing helps. Same thing is happening. Does it have something to do with .NET framwork?
more likely your provider is cutting you off! ISPs are starting to block file sharing sites.
EDIT: I am also getting sick of you peep who yell illegal too! The sites themselves are perfectly legal! Its what the user does with them that determines the legality and the fine and or jail is imposed on the uploader and downloader! This means YOU get in trouble, NOT the site!
It's illegal! Best choice is to leave it off your computer before yours ends up like my fathers and gets completely destroyed by a virus he downloaded!!
most likely fire wall problems. that program also is a virus, use torrents they are easier to check for bad files (read comments) and join private dl servers. a lot of the files on lime wire are traps and when you go to open it it reroutes you to a page saying you are being watched for your dl content. I've had that happen to a lot of friends using lime wire. torrents you have to check for and it takes a little longer, but its some what easier some times, and safer
