Thread: Seems like filesharing sites like Rapid Share would be worse for companies

than P2P???? I was just wondering, wouldn't filesharing sites like Rapid Share and the tons of other ones be worse for companies to deal with?

It seems like those sites make it extremely easy for people to upload and download the files and that those sites would allow for a lower ability for a company to persecute the downloaders (but not necessarily the uploaders..)

Why don't more people just take that route, it seems so much easier than P2P software and like it has a much less chance if any at all of getting in trouble with the law as a downloader.

P2P software can result in viruses and is not necessarily as easy to find something as you can find by searching file share sites.....

Those sites usually have limits on how much you can download at one time, and usually large files are split into many smaller files, so it requires a lot of clicking and monitoring for the user. Plus, many require you to pay to bypass many of the size and download restrictions. P2P apps require much less manpower and are free.

you have to pay for rapdishare if you want to download anything, there time limit is a joke
there is almost zero virus with bittorrent if you use site like mininova which make finding torrent so easy
the purpose of p2p is sharing stuff for free, rapidshare cost $10
