Network Access Problem:Not able to access shared files of remote system.?

    Hi....

I am connected to a network of 6 laptops with same hw configuration.
One system is connected to sify wireless broadband connection, and rest of the systems are accessing internet using CCProxy through that system( wireless ). Its working fine.

All the systems are in same workgroup.
In "view workgroup compouters" windows I am able to see all the computers. But when trying to access any one of them an error message says I dont have permission to access network....network path not found.

The ping command is not getting any reply from any of the system..... even from the system through which I am using internet.

One of systems is able to access my shared files....but I am not.

I have checked our IP address configurations. Firewall is off...and I have installed Norton internet security in my system.

    Please give me any solution...

    Thanks.

Make sure print and file sharing is enabled on each pc. Make sure you grant rights to each shared folder to the proper group or proper users. You say the windows firewall is turned off, what about the Norton firewall?

Feel free to email me if you need more help.
