Hey everyone, I'm sick and barely getting this essay done in time. I can't help but feel that the introduction to this essay is rather lame. If you could grammar correct or do anything you think is necessary I could greatly appreciated it. Its a compare & contrast essay... do you think I should define what assimilation and cultural diffusion is?

THANKS- 10 easy points to the person who gives the most advice
In both Stanley Crouch’s short story “ Goose- loose Blues for the Melting Pot”, and Amy Tan’s personal antidote “Fish Cheeks” assimilation and cultural diffusion are introduced. As both authors express their opinions on these issues, they support their argument with the use of a personal experience. As Crouch addresses the importance of assimilation he refers back to the early 1960s where he compares how assimilation was once described as, and what it means to be assimilated today. Amy Tan at the young age of fourteen was a Chinese teen who was torn between assimilating to American culture to attract a young boy, and celebrating her Christmas Chinese traditions.

I am looking for a good online dating site that takes it kinda seriously. I am almost 32 years old and I'm tired of playing dating games. I think it's time that I find someone who I am meant to be with and I'm compatible with. My research has showed eharmony & match.com as being the 2 best sites for serious online dating but I'm just trying to figure which one to give my money to. I know there are free sites but I don't mind paying as long as I get good results from it. I believe you get what you pay for and therefore you're not gonna get much for free.

eHarmony had a free weekend last week and I had some good matches but there all kinda far away so I'm thinking about trying match.com now or do you think I should stick with eHarmony. eharmony has gotton some poor reviews lately cause they don't show you any pictures until you pay for it but i don't know what to do. Please help.

This year's rookie class is generally considered to be very poor. Its futility might rival the infamous 2000 class, in which Kenyon Martin, Stromile Swift, and Darius Miles went top 3. In fact, early returns show that 2nd round picks are outperforming 1st round picks. The scouts and GMs are obviously idiots cuz these 2nd round picks were all big names in college. Who will be a bust? Who will carve out a role in the nba?

1. Blake Griffin: This guy got injured before he even got on the court. I don't see him being a complete bust, but his ceiling is probably a 10-10 guy a la Al Horford. With Chris Kaman playing like a star and Marcus Camby one of the best shot blocking presence in the league, I hope the Clippers make Griffin earn playing time instead of just handing to him.
2. Hasheem Thabeet: He looks like a total bust. I'm not even sure if he knows how to play basketball. Aside from having a height advantage, he is useless.
3. James Harden: Harden couldn't even crack OKC's starting lineup. This guy also faded down the stretch when he played against better teams in the NCAA tournament. I don't think he has star potential. A borderline starting swingman for a lottery team at best.
4. Tyreke Evans: The fact that Evans is a starter gives you an idea of the poor talent level on the Kings squad. Evans will never be a pure point guard. His playmaking and shooting ability are a work in progress. I don't see him as a future all-star.
5. Ricky Rubio: Without a doubt the biggest bust of all since he is still playing in Europe. He is the new Fran Vazquez. Judging from the way he plays, this guy is all hype no substance. He can't jump and has a horrible shot.
6. Jonny Flynn: Like Evans, Flynn is handed a starting job due to lack of depth on his team. Like Evans, Flynn's ballhandling and playmaking abilities are a work in progress. He is a combo guard stuck in a point guards body who has more turnovers than assists. Flynn proves he can score with his blazing speed, but he's not really a point guard. If anything, Ramon Sessions, a young promising point guard with the unfortunate label of a former 2nd round pick, should be running the show in Twin Cities with Flynn sparking the team off the bench.
7. Stephen Curry: I don't understand Nellie's man crush for this kid, especially when he essentially sabotaged the careers of Anthony Randolph and Brandan Wright in the past. Maggette or Azubuike (or even Morrow) should be starting ahead of him. He is a pure shooter who doesn't draw fouls or create for his teammates. The fact that he and Monta Ellis (2 undersized guards) are the starting backcourt means it will be a long season in the Bay. Eventually, his shooting percentage will go down the drain.
8. Jordan Hill: Hill is a complete disaster. Nuff said. He won't be in the league 3 years from now. Same with Thabeet.
9. DeMar DeRozan: This kid is starting at shooting guard for the Raps for whatever reason. I like to see Jarrett Jack out there instead of him. DeRozan seems like he will be a decent role player who has size and length. He can crash the boards and block shots, but is limited offensively.
10. Brandon Jennings: Jennings probably should've gone #1. He's been on the NBA radar since he was a freshman in high school. Early returns prove that he is a steal, even though that shooting percentage will go down the drain. He's an all-round guy who doesn't do anything particularly well. He can pop 3's, has shooting range, crash the boards, and create for his teammates. He is probably the best player in the draft.
11. Terrence Williams: Williams is already 22, so there isn't a lot of upside even though he is a rookie. Due to his lottery pick status, he is already the 6th man for the Nets. He looks like he can't shoot at the NBA level, not that he could in college either. He's a future journeyman.
12. Gerald Henderson: It's not good when Stephen Graham beats you for a starting job. Henderson looks like a rotation player who is destined to come off the bench throughout his career. He is nothing special.
13. Tyler Hansbrough: Happy b-day, Tyler. Hansborough is 24 years old (yes he is a month older than Dwight Howard), which means he has no upside whatsoever. He will always be a backup. If the NCAA former player of the year is savvy enough, he might carve out a 10 year career in the NBA. If not, then he will soon wash out of the league. It's a reach to pick him this high. But then, Larry Bird is retarded and a racist.
14. Earl Clark: Not a big fan of Clark when he was in college. He looks completely lost in the NBA.
15. Austin Daye: Daye hasn't played much, but I don't think he will make much of an impact ever in the NBA. It's a reach to pick him this high when better players were still on board.
16. James Johnson: Johnson is a tweener who doesn't have a lot of promise. He's already 22. His ceiling is a career backup.
17. Jrue Holiday: Holiday was a bust with UCLA as a freshman playing backup to Darren Collison. He cl
He clearly should've stay in school. Even though Andre Miller left the Sixers, he will not see any playing time. He will be a bust.
18. Ty Lawson: Happy birthday, Ty. Lawson and Hasbrough, college teammates at UNC, share the same b-day. Lawson, 22, looks like a steal. He is a pure point guard who can score a bit. He's no star, but #18, what more can you ask for?
19. Jeff Teague: Teague seems alright, but again, he's no star. And he won't be starting for a contender in his career.
20. Eric Maynor: Maynor is clearly a bust already given that undrafted rookie Wesley Matthews is ahead of him on the depth chart. He's also already 22.
21. Darren Collison: Collison has always been overrated at UCLA. He is the 3rd string point guard at New Orleans. Despite being on a team short of talent, he is not going to get any playing time. He's a bust in the making.
22. Victor Claver: This guy is picked way too high. He seems like he's not interested in making a move to the NBA. Even if he does come eventually, he will go back to Europe in a couple of years. He's a bust.
23. Omri Cassipi: First Jewish player in the league. I never heard of him, but he's doing okay so far. A solid role player, which isn't bad for a late 1st round pick.
24. Byron Mullens: You would think that after picking Johan Petro, Saer Sene, and Robert Swift in consecutive drafts, the Sonics/Thunder will stay away from unproven big men. WRONG. Mullens seems like another bust out of the long list of busts the Sonics/Thunder had in the past decade.
25: Rodrigue Beaubois: He hasn't played much, but he is definitely not worth a first round pick.
26. Taj Gibson: Gibson is a solid role player who will have a bench spot in the NBA for years to come.
27. DeMarre Carroll: This kid doesn't deserve all the playing time he has been getting. He looks like he can't shoot or play at all.
28. Wayne Ellington: Ellington, Hansbrough, and Lawson were the heir apparents of Rashad McCants, Sean May, and Raymond Felton. Ellington disappointed some in college. He is a one-dimensional shooter, who doesn't shoot that well. A bust in the making.
29. Toney Douglas: "Toney" is already 23. He got a lot of love during training camp, but he is probably not going to make any impact in his career.
30. Christian Eyenga: He is not even in the NBA right now. Obviously, he's the next Romain Sato. Who is Romain Sato? Oh right, no one knows.

BTW, DeJuan Blair and Chase Budinger, both big name college players who fell to the 2nd round, look like keepers. Especially Blair, who looks like a solid piece on any contending team.

I have a voicemail greeting that I would like to change. I want it to only answer with the voicemail saying something generic, and me saying my name, then the rest of the greeting, "leave a message after the beep" or ssomethingof that nature. It would be better than my dorky voice saying, "hi, sorry I can't come to the phone..." etc.
So, I went to my voicemail, picked the option that I wanted, recorded me saying my name, then I pushed pound like it told me. Then it went right to the menu of voicemail greetings. I pushed star to end the session, then called from my house phone to see what it sounded like, and it was my original greeting. I tried it 3 more times, and it still didn't work. Any idea what's going on?
Thanks!

So. I met a guy at a Halloween party on the weekend. VERY cute. Spent about 3 hours just talking to him about absolutely everything. I gave him many chances to escape and meet other people - but every time he went to the bathroom, talked to other people, he came right back. We eventually ended up going upstairs, talking a little more, and eventually kissing for a few min...before we went back down (at my request) to join our friends. But even after the kiss, he hung around me, and made sure I never really got away.

Anyway. As I left, I told him that we should see "Paranormal Activity" together (he'd asked me to see it with him earlier in the night), he said "definitely," I said "so should I get your number?" And he said "I think I should get yours." So we did the number swap, he was very adamant that I got his down right, and then as I left, he kissed me briefly, I said that he should call me, and he smiled and said "Oh I will".

That was late Sun morning...it's Mon afternoon at the moment. How long do you guys think I should wait? And should I text him...? Oh - another thing. A little while after we met (but before we kissed), he alluded briefly to having had a crush on a girl at uni with a boyfriend. He changed the topic, but I don't know if that complicates things...

Thank you! xx
