I want to replace my blown 4.3gl (vortech) volvo penta engine
I want to purchase a automotive 4.3l engine, and covert it over to the marine aplacation. The blown engine is in a 2000 Four winns Horizon180. I understand the head gaskets & freeze plugs are different in a marine application. My question is are the block & heads the same as a 4.3l in say a 2000 vortech blazer. I know that the marine engine is carbureted and the blazer would be fuel injected. Thanks for any insight.
