I have a 325i BMW. I got in it and the barely tapped the clutch and it went

clear to the floor and stayed.? I got in this A.M. and like i said it just popped all the way down. I reached down hit it from behind and it shot back up. I'm new to the beamers and my book is well garbage! I could really use a good direction to start in. I would be grateful for any help !
