How do you disable Citroen C5 HDI engine immobilizer?
Citroen C5 HDI 2002, diesel, manual.
Last week it refused to start and flashes sometimes "Key reminder". And sometimes, it flashes "Engine immobilizer". We left it a couple to days and then read somewhere that we could try to use the spare key. We did and it started with no problem. Everything was fine until yesterday. Out of the blue, it refused to start. Starter and battery are fine. Oil too. When one tries to start it, it makes a sound as if it wants to start but cannot. The same sound it was making last week. But now, the spare key wont work. Help!
