I have a 2003 Toyota Corolla, and out of the blue (just started today!), my car battery won't hold a charge. If I let only a couple hours at rest pass, it's only slow to start. But if I let several hours pass, I get the clicking noise and it finally starts after several attempts.

I'm so not car savvy - does this sound like an easy/cheap problem to fix, or am I doing the right thing by seeing the Toyota dealership directly?
I really know little about cars...I would have no idea how to clean battery terminals (I don't even know what they are! LOL). Is this easy? Is this something a friend w/ more car knowledge would understand how to do?

The easiest thing to try would be to take off the red and black wires off your battery terminals, and pour a little bit of coca cola or Pepsi on them (very little so u don't have to clean up a mess) that way it will cause a reaction and help clean the terminals much faster, and make sure when u put them back on you tighten them down so they have a strong solid connection. the cola is just to help, you don't have to use it, also use a wire brush. and so you know what battery terminals are, go to this picture... http://3.bp.blogspot.com/__3_5QfFq8hU/SeBZ6Z2T2pI/AAAAAAAAACs/hLKyZS1sPvw/s400/car+battery.JPG
