Honda Hornet Speedometer?

I have a 600 Hornet CB but all the clocks have been removed. I have no speedo or rev and I want to fit a new speedo. I have seen loads of them that look fine but they are all cable driven and I have been advised that mine is a "pulse" drive one..... is this true and if so where can I get a stand alone speedo for it any Ideas?
