Honda civic thermostat housing ?

I have a hairline crack on my 95 Honda civic EX 1.6 thermostat housing, not the cover but the housing itself I will try BJ weld but if it don't hold do any mechanic or any DIY knows how or experience on how to take that piece out. so i can replace it, i removed the two screws that hold it to the block and the two rubber hose on the side but it feels like some metal pip is holding it the haynes repair manual dint cover that part or I'm missing it
