Catalytic Converter Problems 1996 Toyota Camry LE?
I'm having catalytic converter issues. Took the car to two mechanics that quoted me approximately $2,500. I've never dealt with CAT problems but these prices sound astronomical. One mechanic told me the CAT's bad O2 sensors were good while the other told me the CAT's bad and recommended I change all the O2 sensors. I went to a local exhaust company and was quoted $190 for an aftermarket CAT and labor. The cars 12 yrs old and I am not investing $2500 into it. But is $190 to good to be true? I'm just trying to get it pass inspection. Any suggestions?
