Can I replace the 16 inch rims with 14 inch rims on my 2007 Hyundai Accent?

The car came with nice aluminum rims with low profile tires. Looks great, however I cannot find an all weather tire for them that doesn't cost a fortune. The non-sport models come with 14" rims with a lot of good all weather choices. Any ideas?

well from what i learned, you can change to any rim size as long as you match the original tire tread length. if you look along the sides of your tire it would say something like P205/R17 the "205" is your tread length. For yours it might be different. It would be PXXX/R17 if thats easier. In other words if your buying 14's, YOu would want tires that are PXXX/R14. By the way if you use wrong tread lengths, its possible that you would get incorrect speedometer readings.
