I am all out of the CDs that I put music on to listen while driving. All I have are several DVD-Rs and I would like to know if I put music on them will it also play in my car.

No. It's a CD player not a DVD player.

Most likely not unless it is a dvd player. Unless you can find a way to burn them to the dvd as an mp3 format. But good luck with that.
