Why won't my DVD play on my HP laptop?

I'm trying to watch a DVD of a theater play and Windows Media Player refuses to play it because "my computer is running low on memory" and I have to delete other programs in order to play it. I emptied my recycle bin, closed internet windows and everything and it STILL won't play. Help!

In order to fully delete a program you must un-install it through the control panel. You probably deleted shorcuts which are only a few KB (less than 0.01 % of your drive)
