Why did my ROM drive suddenly stop reading DVD movies? It can read and play

audio CDs? The problem started when i used Windows DVD maker. I used Windows DVD maker to burn movies into DVD+RW. Now, everytime i put in a dvd movie, it doesn't play. It doesn't even read some DVDs with applications in it. Whenever i put a DVD movie in the drive and click it, the drive opens and says,"Please insert a disc in drive D:" everytime!.Did i accidently changed any setting? Please Help me. I don't know what to do!
please ignore the second question mark on my question.its suppose to be a period. ("It CAN read and play audio cds.")

Update the drivers for the drive.

Re-install whatever program you are using to watch DVD's with.

Check and make sure you haven't accidentally changed the region code on the DVD player. (google how to do this with your specific drive)

Check and see that you are getting licenses automatically through your player.
