...playable on U.S. DVD players? I am taking an Italian language class, and several members of my class have all been looking for Italian movies with Italian subtitles that are playable on U.S. DVD players. Our goal is to practice listening and hearing the Italian words being spoken, and to verify (using the Italian subtitles) that we are hearing the correct words. We have been having a difficult time finding such movies. We have searched unsuccessfully on Amazon.com and in the Rizzoli bookstore in Manhattan.

After searching for about two months, we've located the company, Applause, with the website: www.applauselearning.com . The company offers some "Cinema Italiano" DVDs for $40 with Italian short movies (10-18 minutes each) and Italian subtitles, and presumably these are playable on U.S. DVD players. Has anyone ever purchased these? Does anyone have any recommendations?
