So, I am trying to get Windows 7 for my computer (I use Linux Mint 14) and I used Digital River. I downloaded it, burned it to a DVD+R blank disk, and when I boot from disk, I get: "Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer.

This error can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device such as an external USB drive while the device is in use, or by faulty hardware such as a hard drive or CD-ROM drive that is failing. Make sure any removable storage is properly connected and then restart your computer.

If you continue to receive this error message, contact the hardware manufacturer."

I have tried this several times, and a few times with a USB, but I always get that, I can't press F12, F2, or F8. I have changed the BIOS to boot from the optical drive and everything! please help!
