    what is the difference between a Double-layer DVD±RW/CD-RW and a single layer

    normal one? what can you do on the double that you cant do on a single?

    does it apply to cd burning too?

    You can store more data. A single layer DVD can hold 4.7GB, while a dual layer can hold 8.5GB.
