I heard that you can use the drive with PCs / Macs, but can you use them to read CDs / DVDs? My sister's Macbook has a broken disc-drive, so I was wondering if this could work as a (temporary) replacement. Neither of us care about actual HD DVDs.
Also, her Macbook is running Tiger, if it matters.
Thanks in advance.
Also, if this won't work, is there anything else that would?
I know fixing the drive seems like the most logical thing to do, but we can't afford that right now. Since I heard the 360 HD DVD drives work on computers, I figured it would hurt to ask considering I've seen them going for $25 new.
