Any time I put in a CD or DVD, my [old] IBM ThinkPad makes some noise as if reading the disc, but nothing loads. When I check My Computer, it says to "insert disk into drive D:". I checked the driver, and it is HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8081N. I tried updating the driver, but it didn't work. Any thoughts or suggestions would really help! =)

Mine did the same thing... Replace the DVD/CD drive, and it will be fine. eBay has a ton of them...
