we are now using blue ray discs are there plans for x ray or even gamma ray discs?

theoretically gamma ray discs can store as much as 7000 times more info than a DVD. why not move further to Gamma ray discs?

Im no expert, but I have a hunch its because gamma rays are harmful should you get exposed to them. Maybe its just me, but i'd rather haul around 7000 dvds than suffer from radiation sickness.

They would be impractical and far too dangerous to use.
