how do i un-format a dvd-rw?

I got a cheap little photo viewer for christmas, but as i was trying to install the disk, I managed to format it... . now I am totally stuck because if i UN-format it with some online program, I might end up hurting the computer, and i don't know how to do it manually
I don't want to download anything, especially from a website i don't know about.
Does any one out there want to help me?

You can't "un-format" a disk. Formatting a disk or drive erases everything, and is permanent. So your install CD is ruined. You just have to go to the maker's website and download the drivers and software from the web.
