SATA & IDE DVD-Burners?

Hi
I want to buy a new dvd-burner, there is sata and ide (sata is much cheaper!) the problem is my case is ide ( my hdd is in IDE and my current CD-RW), cant i buy a sata dvd and convert with some cables maybe to work on ide??
