Thread: A question on bootleg dvd's?

If bootleg movies are illegal, the how come the are openly sold in public convenience stores? There is a sams store right near my house that sells bootleg dvds right on the counter!

i think its that the cops dont want the people who sells the dvds, they want the people who are actually making copies and going out there and recording the movies. why arrest the little person when they hardly know anything at all....go after the big fish and you stop the that specific school. i hope that helps...

They aren't criminally illegal, like cocaine or such. It is up to the studios to see that vendors of bootleg content are taken care of.
