Thread: A question about DVD Writer/Burners for Desktop PC's?

I currently have a DVD drive in my Desktop PC, however only recently have IU pretty much found out that it only takes certain DVD types (Either + or - .. not sure exactly which one).

I've been thinking lately about getting myself a new DVD Writer / Recorder for my PC though I'm wanting to get one that can read & birn on both plus & minus discs. (IE Universal I guess).

Is their DVD burners out there that read both of them & if so what would you search for say in Ebay for example to find the right one as I'm not even sure what to type in the Ebay search to find the type of DVD Writers / Burners that I want.

Any help here is much appreciated as I'm not fully clued up in regards to these & I probably should be lol

Most drive come with specifications that list all the media types with which they are compatible. if you see one in the store, for example, you can see the compatibility listed right on the box.

If you see a model on line or on Ebay and the specs aren't listed, you can always go the the manufacturer's website and look up the model.
