How can I get/rip DVD's I already own onto my Computer and then to a Video

MP3 Player? I'm about to get a video MP3 Player (a Zune to be specific) and I have a few movies that I want to put on it that are on DVD. Only two of them have Digital Copies, while the rest are just the movie on a disk. Is there a way I can rip these movies onto my computer and then to my Zune for free?

I don't have the player yet, so I don't know if the Zune comes with software that does it (although I highly doubt it), so any help would be great. I really don't want to hunt down digital versions of these online and potentially have to buy them all over again.
