my pc says my dvd+r is not formatted and therefore cannot be read, but my...

...mac can read it. The problem is:? when i burn the disk on the mac (using finder) and then transfer the files off the dvd onto my pc, i cannot copy the files successfully - it says the files are corrupt. Btw, the file im having trouble with is over 4gb if that is anything to do with the problem.
