    My MacBook won't read DVD+RW?

I bought some 4.7 GB discs so I could burn some movies on my Mac but when I put the disc in, it waits a minute, and spits it right back out. No error message or icon or anything. I looked on the Apple website and it seems that DVD+RW is supported. Whats wrong?

Im looking at the cd box now and it says:
    Memorex 10PK
    4X

    4.7GB
    120min

You may not have a superdrive in your mac, especially if its an older model.
