My DVD Drive won't open and it won't show up in "My Computer" folder?
I have a Toshiba Laptop, A205-S5825 model.
My dvd drive disappeared from My Computer and it won't show up. So I deleted the upper and lower filters on the registry in the right folder. I did everything right.. This was instructed by customer support to do this. Restarted the computer and it was there. Inserted a movie and it played fine. Then I had to restart my computer for something else. When it opened up, it was gone again.
My DVD drive will not even open for me to test anything out. The drive has a yellow light blinking right next to it. I just had it working before. The upper and lower filters are already deleted. I don't know what else to do.
PLEASE, HELP!! Any advice would be much appreciated. THank you!!
What should I do?
Just a response to people's answers on my question...
It is not showing up in Device Manager. The DVD is brand new. No scratches at all. Like I said, deleted the filters blocking the DVD so what's going on?
Also, THIS IS WINDOWS VISTA. Not XP, so any help with Vista would be great. If anyone knows Vista, that'd be teriffic.
